In just four games, the Portland Trailblazers went from having a great year to having a disasterous one.
And after blowing tonight’s game against the Pelicans, they’ve made a bit of history in the process. This Blazer squad is the first 3-seed or higher in history to be swept in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. The last team to suffer the same fate was the Raptors in 2015, and the ’06-’07 Heat, who lost against the Chicago Bulls.
No doubt, Portland is due for some serious changes. After showing such promise this season, to lose in four against a sixth seed is not the way anyone expected it to end.
