Fadeaway World

According to several reports, the Phoenix Suns would look with great eyes to move the 1st overall pick they’re entitled within this year’s NBA Draft, something that would seem quite appealing for most franchises considering how stacked this class is.

DeAndre Ayton and Luka Doncic both look like studs in the making and choosing one of the other would depend mostly on fit, as both of them would be a terrific choice for any team, but it seems like Phoenix is done waiting and wants to take a step forward towards Championship contention.

Obviously, they have a lot of leverage as they own the most valuable asset of this upcoming Draft, so naturally, they’re going to try to land at least one super-star that could help Booker and Jackson take this team the distance.

That being said, they’re likely to reject a lot of offers for that pick and try to make a counteroffer to try and get top-notch talents, but truth to be told, they’re unlikely to land a mega deal. Today, we’re going to let you know about the top 5 unrealistic trades they could pursue for the 1st overall pick.

5. Boston Celtics: Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum

The Boston Celtics have a very good problem on their hands right now: they’re one of the best teams in the NBA while having 2 All-Stars injured, so they’re going to have to move at least a couple of players next season in order to make room for anybody.

Nonetheless, they’re unlikely to move Jaylen Brown and/or Jayson Tatum, as both have proven to be this team’s future and have carried this team all season long, and they’re not going to let them go at any cost.

4. Philadelphia 76ers: 10th pick + Dario Saric

The Philadelphia 76ers love Dario Saric and his grit and grind in both ends of the hardwood has definitely earned him a lot of praise over his first 2 seasons in the NBA, so if they move him, they have to be sure they’re going to be Championship contenders right away.

Having said that, they’re not likely to move him for another young baller, rather than a proven veteran of the likes of Kawhi Leonard, and this kind of offer would make way more sense to the Spurs than to the Suns.

3. Denver Nuggets: Nikola Jokic

The Denver Nuggets are yet to make a qualifying offer to Nikola Jokic, but there’s no way in hell they’re not going to do it after the big man has become this team’s franchise player and has grown to be one of the most talented players in the league.

Denver is building through their big man and they’re just on the verge of playoff contention, so they’re not going to take a step backward even if the Phoenix Suns offer them the 1st overall pick and their 2nd round pick as well.

2. Portland Trail Blazers: Damian Lillard

A Damian Lillard – Devin Booker backcourt would make fans salivate for sure, both being among the league’s deadliest scorers from everywhere on the floor, although there would be some major defensive flaws, to say the least.

Nevertheless, this is never going to happen, as the Blazers aren’t quite ready to tear their backcourt apart and would try to surround Lillard and McCollum with more talent this summer rather than just part ways with either of them.

According to some reports, it seems like Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves haven’t been on the same page for a while, and that the franchise would even consider moving their 1st overall pick and former Rookie of the Year, should the price be right.

The Suns have struggled to find a reliable big man for years now and would love to have KAT around, but they’re not going to move Devin Booker or Josh Jackson and don’t have many assets to offer beyond their 1st overall pick, and Minny would likely ask for at least a couple 1st round picks and several role players in return for their star big man.
