Mere days after we learnt that the Golden State Warriors were still trying to pursue New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis after winning a second straight NBA championship to add to their already stacked roster, more news has been released about the Dubs’ pursuit of the five-time All-Star.
According to sources close to the Warriors’ brass, the Warriors have already come up with one or two trade packages that could be sent New Orleans way if they were indeed serious about trading for Davis.
Those in the know around the league believe the deal would be centered around Jordan Bell, Andre Iguodala, and ‘several’ first round picks.

The reported leading deal would involve sending over rookie Jordan Bell and 2015 Finals MVP Andre Iguodala to the Pelicans, as well as several first-round picks, most likely this year’s 2018 pick, as well as 2019’s and 2020’s even.
However, given the talent the Warriors want to add in the form of the versatile Davis, as well as the fact that the Pelicans are in the same conference as Golden State and have run into them in the postseason multiple times, New Orleans would more than likely ask for more assets to part with their 2012 first overall pick.
Adding either one of Warrior All-Stars Klay Thompson or Draymond Green into the mix would definitely sweeten the deal for NOLA, as at least then, the Pelicans know they’d be getting an All-Star in return, as well as a host of draft picks for the future.
Even though it seems like a pipedream as of right now, as we head into free agency, don’t be surprised if the Warriors come closer to acquiring AD.
