Former NBA star Glen Davis, better known as ‘Big Baby Davis’ proved he is still a very handy player on the court after he defeated a trio of current NBA players in the Drew League Semi-Finals.
The Drew League is held every year in Los Angeles and is regarded as one of the most notable summer pro-am league in the country.
In a match between the Nationwide Souljas and MHP, Glen Davis dropped a total of 34 points in a win for the Souljas against MHP that featured the trio of DeMar DeRozan, Nick Young and Jordan Clarkson. The Semi-Final win led by Davis has set up a finals appearance against Redemption.
Big Baby Davis punished MHP inside the key with no suitable matchup for the former Celtics, Magic and Clippers big man.
The Souljas went on to win the match by just 8 points after getting the margin out to a game high 12 points with five minutes remaining. The MHP trio helped bring the margin back to 2 points with just 2 minutes left on the clock with their long-range shooting but it wouldn’t be enough.
Davis hasn’t played in the NBA since 2015 when the Los Angeles Clippers were defeated in the second round of the playoffs. There’s no signs of a Davis come back to the NBA but it’s sure nice to see him still dominating on the basketball court.
