NBA 2k19 is coming out on September 11th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. We have seen plenty of sneak peeks and trailers of gameplay showing certain game modes which has got many excited.
They have also leaked the ratings of some NBA players with some being lower than they should. These players definitely play way better than the ratings given and will dominate in their tier.
5. Blake Griffin – Rating 86
Blake Griffin’s rating has been causing controversy all over social media. Griffin averaged 21.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game with The Clippers and Pistons. However, he is a dunking machine and is a serious threat in transition. With the posterizer badge and great dunking stats at 86 rating, he is a big steal. If you sprint towards the rim with Griffin, it could result in some highlight plays.
4. Kemba Walker – Rating 86
Kemba Walker had one of the best seasons of his career, earning himself an All-Star selection for the 2nd time. Walker averaged 22.1 points, 5.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game for The Hornets. An All-Star point guard is rated lower than three rookies coming into their 2nd season. Walker has great all-around offensive stats similar to many guards like Kyle Lowry and John Wall. He can keep his case against elite point guards and run the offense. He has underrated handles and you can abuse that dribble move stick like crazy.
3. Clint Capela – Rating 84
With a fantastic season last year, Clint Capela was recently signed to a five-year extension to stay with the Houston Rockets. The Rockets big man is still young and will be part of their future. The 23-year-old was producing at an All-Star level performance averaging 13.9 points, 10.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game while leading the league in FG%. Capela destroys any little layup or floater attempt made in the paint and will send it into the stands. It almost makes it impossible to drive inside the key with his massive presence there. With an 84 rating, he plays like a 90 or more when it comes to the defensive end.
2. Kyle Kuzma – Rating 80
Kyle Kuzma was a late gem of the 2017 NBA draft with The Lakers drafting him with their 27th overall pick in the 1st round. The Lakers Power-Forward earned himself an All NBA Rookie First Team averaging 16.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Kuzma is a brilliant shooter for his position. Only rated 80 overall, he can shoot the lights out. He has an easy jump shot timing so you will be guaranteed many green releases.
1. DeMarcus Cousins – 90 Rating
DeMarcus Cousins is one of the best big men in the league right now. He can do everything. The 28-year-old center dominates on the offensive end and no one can stop him. He has range from the 3-point line so other centers will have to guard him from the perimeter. If they play too high, he can easily pump fake and beat them off the dribble and get an easy bucket. Definitely the best 2k center in the game.
There is always players who will outplay their rating and are just way more valuable. It can be their animations, jump shot timings, height or speed that make them overpowered. They perform so much better in the game rather than real life and can be a secret weapon on your team.
