NBA franchise lifers are a rare thing nowadays.
We saw Dirk, Kobe, and Tim Duncan stay with their perspective teams for the entirety of their long and storied career. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), they were the last of dying breed.
A new trend is in high gear, and the Greek Freak may be the next one to board.
As Alex Kennedy on Twitter explains, there’s a very serious chance of Giannis leaving the Bucks eventually, and the reason might not be what you think.
NBA insiders believe Giannis Antetokounmpo will eventually leave Milwaukee. While Giannis may not care about being in a small market, it's unlikely that other stars would join him in Milwaukee and that's the angle other teams may use to sell him on leaving/asking for a trade. pic.twitter.com/SGd2kCZ4XH

Obviously, Giannis is everything for the Bucks right now, so losing him would be quite devastating for the franchise.
Alas, that is the reality of small markets. While the occasional superstar might not mind it, chances aren’t good that a lot of others player would find it enticing.
So if Giannis really wants to win, his best chances lie outside the borders of Wisconsin… whether he likes it there or not.
