Sometimes a player just isn’t a fit on a particular team. This is usually just a clash of styles that don’t work well with each other. This is nobody’s fault and a simple trade is all this is required to set things right.
This is the case with Markelle Fultz and the 76ers. Right now Philly is in a great position to reach the Finals in the East. They have 3 All-Stars now that they’ve acquired Jimmy Butler and have some good role players complimenting the stars with JJ Redick and Wilson Chandler. This team could easily make the NBA Finals this year and the 76ers should be all in on winning now.
Philadelphia drafted Markelle Fultz in 2017 with the first overall pick. He had averaged 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in his freshman year at Washington. He also shot very well from the 3 point line and looked like a surefire All-Star in the making given that he’s 6 foot 4.
Sadly injuries have held him back through his first 2 seasons and that has affected his mental state as well. He doesn’t look at all comfortable with the 76ers and a trade would allow him to hit the reset button.
It will be a big problem for the Sixers to find a deal for Markelle Fultz, but recently we wrote about the top 5 best destinations where he could play.
According to a Sam Amico, the Cavs are very interested in Fultz’s services. The Cavs need a star going forward now that LeBron has left town and a young point guard like Fultz could be perfect for them. This is also an opportunity for the Cavs to make their roster a lot younger for the future, which is why the report said that the Cavs offered Kyle Korver and a protected pick for Fultz.

This trade works out well for both sides: The Cavs get the young star they need going forward and the 76ers get a fantastic shooter to spread the floor for Simmons and Embiid. Can you imagine JJ Redick and Kyle Korver on the floor together on offense? This trade needs to happen.
