With the 2019 NBA All-Star weekend approaching, it will serve as a much-needed break for many players and teams across the league. For us fans, and those participating in the events, it’s also a time of fun and excitement as the league’s best players face off in various skills competitions.

We already know who will be playing in the main event, but the 3-point contest and dunk contest participants weren’t released until after.

Here are all the names:

Seth Curry, Portland Trailblazers

Shooting seems to run in the family as Seth has a knack for shooting, just like Steph. He’s shooting 48% from downtown this season, but in a role that often has him riding the bench. It’ll be interesting to see how well he performs with a bit of the spotlight on him for a change.

Steph Curry, Golden State Warriors

As the best shooter in the game (and, arguably, of All-Time) Steph Curry is the face of 3-point shooting basketball. As the winner in 2015, Curry is hoping to reclaim a title that everyone knows he should hold. No doubt, there will be some sibling rivalry involved as well.

Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks

No doubt, Dirk is just trying to have some fun in his last rodeo. And while he’s not a name people necessarily associate with 3-point shooting, he can put the ball in the hole just as good as the rest of them. He shoots 38% for his career and averaged 3.4 attempts for his career.

Buddy Hield, Sacramento Kings

Buddy Hield has had a break-out season in Sacramento. He’s attempting 7.4 3s a game while hitting 46%. He’s an underdog, but also more than capable of taking the crown.

Damian Lillard, Portland Trailblazers

There are a few 3-point contest veterans on the list, including Steph and Lillard (the defending champ). Everyone else is fairly new. With so many variables, it’ll be interesting to see who takes the trophy this year.

At the very least, we know that this will be a good one.

Latest Update (02.05.2019):

Steph Curry, Seth Curry, Buddy Hield, Kemba Walker, Devin Booker, Danny Green, Joe Harris, Khris Middleton, Damian Lillard, and Dirk Nowitzki are the 2019 3-point contest participants.
