One of the biggest trades this season have come when the New York Knicks traded away Kristaps Porzingis to the Dallas Mavericks this week. The Knicks who have struggling over the last few years have been criticized for the trade deal, but the franchise is very confident they made the correct move.
To prove why this trade makes so much sense for the Knicks, the franchised used graphics during Sunday’s game against Memphis. MSG, the team owned TV network that airs their games, shared a graphic that highlighted Porzingis’s faults instead of his career highlights with the Knicks so far.
Knicks say it’s not personal and they’re not trying to smear Porzingis. This is the graphic their in-house TV network just aired. pic.twitter.com/r63Edvyn8p

It certainly does seem unnecessary to point out that the big man missed the franchises exit meeting at the end of the 2016/17 season. New York still admit that it was nothing personal between the club and Porzingis, but it sure seems like the two don’t have the best relationship.
It was known that Porzingis was looking at playing out the next part of his career somewhere else, therefore the Knicks had no intention of holding onto him any longer. A new beginning in Dallas may be exactly what he needs to change his current form.
For the Knicks, having someone who didn’t want to be there was doing the franchise no favors, this is their chance to have a fresh start.
