Zion Williamson and his Duke teammates are taking the NCAA by storm with a 19-4 start to their season. Duke recently knocked off the Virginia Cavaliers who have an incredible record of 20-2.
The Duke Blue Devils were already under enough pressure before Los Angeles Laker teammates and superstars of the game, LeBron James and Rajon Rondo turned up to watch. Even with arguably the greatest player of all time in the stands, Zion Williamson remained focused to the task at hand with an impressive performance that led the side to a 10-point victory, 81 to 71.
“LeBron was out there?” Williamson asked a member of the press after the game. “I didn’t see LeBron.” Then out of queue one of Zion’s teammates yelled back, “That’s your big brother!” Williamson replied: “Stop it, bro,” in an attempt to douse the media hype surrounding his potential lottery status in the upcoming NBA Draft – whereas teammate Tre Jones, himself a point guard, was damn near fixated that his idol Rajon Rondo was in the stands watching him control the pace.
“I didn’t notice until probably the second half. It’s hard to miss (James) when he stands up,” Jones said. “A guy who was there, Rajon Rondo, is someone I’ve been watching since I was really young.” The Duke Blue Devils will take on Louisville Cardinals this upcoming Tuesday at the KFC Yum! Center.
The rest of the NBA world waits to see which lucky team will have the number one pick of the next NBA draft and have the opportunity to select Williamson. For someone at such a young age, it’s an incredible amount of pressure to be facing, the talent he posses is many could only wish for.

Zion has been likened to Chris Webber when he entered the NCAA league, a defensive nightmare for opposing teams to come up against, almost unstoppable on the floor.
