Several teams are looking forward to signing Jadon Sancho, Borussia Dortmund’s wonderkid that’s currently leading their Bundesliga title run.
Manchester United, for starters, has been quite high on the possibility of bringing back home the former Manchester City academy alumni, but, according to German media, the team has no intention whatsoever of letting him go right now.
“I’m far from putting a price tag on Jadon, but I will say that, even for the biggest club in the world, his transfer would be difficult right now. Jadon will play at Dortmund next season and we are definitely planning with him,” Marc Zorc told Sport Bild.
Zorc is Dortmund’s sporting director and the man responsible for pulling the strings of a club that’s made a living out of buying standout talents at a fair price and then selling them for 3 o 4 times more.
The 18-year-old has excelled all year long at Germany, recording 10 assists and 8 goals in just 25 caps for Dortmund so far this season.
And, with the Red Devils ready to make a splash in the market to go back to their former glory days, they were believed to be preparing an £80 million bid for the English playmaker.
Now, it looks like they’ll have to look elsewhere or offer a bigger sum if they want to strengthen their squad.
