The great chase for Kevin Durant is expected to come to its conclusion this July when free agency officially begins. The Warriors will be intent on keeping him in town, but there is a good reason to believe he might be headed elsewhere. Not only are the Warriors suffering some serious locker-room turmoil, but it will be nearly impossible to keep all the guys they have financially.
Furthermore, the team has been on a dominant tear for nearly three straight years now, Durant might be keen on seeking a new challenge before it is all said and done.
The Knicks fit the bill in everything Durant could want. High-market city, historic franchise, and the chance to bring them back to contention all on his own. Bill Simmons says he would “bet the house” on KD wearing a Knicks jersey next season.

He also added that Kyrie might join him, as has been speculated for months now.
After trading Kristaps Porzingis to free up some more cap space for the summer, it seemed like the Knicks were acting with information the rest of us did not have.
Could that information have included Durant’s inevitable arrival?
