Fadeaway World

Paris Saint-Germain is one of the wealthiest clubs in the world right now, and they’ve constantly proved that they have absolutely no problem in breaking the market by offloading a huge sum of money to get a superstar.

Moreover, Thomas Tuchel has been fond of luring young talents to PSG, completing the signing of Leandro Paredes and striking out on Frenkie de Jong, so you know there’s absolutely no one out of their range.

Even so, and despite having all of that money, who could they actually pursue? Who’ll be their first choice next summer? Let’s take a look at the 5 guys they should try and sign at the end of the season.

5. Christian Eriksen

Christian Eriksen has been linked with a move out of Tottenham Hotspur for years, but the team has been reluctant to even negotiate with other clubs for the Danish playmaker. Still, with that kind of money, it would be difficult not to let him go.

Eriksen is one of the best long-range shooters in Europe, and a guy that would thrive setting Edinson Cavani, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr up. He’s a master of creating chances, and excels at set pieces as well, and has already outgrown Pochettino’s team.

4. Matthijs de Ligt

Matthijs de Ligt is currently on every big team’s radar right now, as the Dutch wonderkid has turned a lot of heads since the start of the season as a lockdown defender for his hometown club Ajax.

PSG is short at stoppers right now, and de Ligt looks like a younger, faster version of Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dijk. The French always favor offense when signing, but the Dutch would be a huge addition for their future.

3. Marco Reus

Thomas Tuchel already knows what to expect out of Marco Reus, and now that he’s finally healthy, he’s back at full-strength and proving that he’s one of the best and most versatile scorers in the world.

Reus can play on both flanks of the pitch, as 9 and behind the strikers, so there’s no reason to think he wouldn’t be a great fit next to their deadly offensive trio. Also, they need more depth up front with Ligue 1 and UEFA Champions League on sight.

2. N’Golo Kante

Chelsea has already locked in N’Golo Kante for the long run, but there’s no reason to think a giant club of the likes of PSG wouldn’t be able to pay his asking price and bring him back to France.

Kante is one of the best midfielders in the world right now and Tuchel has addressed the fact that he needs to find more help for Marco Verratti, and we can’t think of a better partner in the center of the pitch than the World Champion.

1. Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard is currently on Real Madrid’s radar and doesn’t want to stay with Chelsea, but if Florentino Perez fails to make a move, PSG should jump right in and make a huge bid for the Belgian.

Hazard could replace injury-prone Neymar Jr, who’s been linked with a move out of the team ever since joining them from Barcelona. It’s a long shot, but they have the kind of money to snub him out of Stamford Bridge.
