Zion Williamson may be out of the NCAA tournament, but the light is bright on his horizon with the NBA ahead of him. Before he even gets there, he is reportedly already being considered for some very important professional basketball.
According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, USA Basketball is considering the NCAA phenom for the World Cup in China. The team has already lost big names like LeBron James who will not be participating this year.
USA Basketball intends to gauge the interest of Duke freshman sensation Zion Williamson in joining the 12-man squad it sends to China for the @FIBAWC in the late summer, league sources say

A rookie has played on the USA team before. Anthony Davis was on the 2012 Olympics roster before he ever played in an NBA game.
Williamson should definitely accept the request if it is offered as it is a great opportunity for him to showcase his talent for NBA recruiters and endorsement opportunities. Also, he could get his first chance to gain fans outside of the NCAA environment. He is highly expected to accept the opportunity to build a good reputation in China for sneaker contract purposes.
The addition of Williamson the USA Basketball team will make millions of additional fans tune into the games just to see him play, even if it’s a blowout. The opportunity will also better prepare him for the NBA since he has yet to see professional experience. Well, the World Cup is as close as gets to the real thing.
Zion Williamson is the real star and he could sign a massive shoe deal this summer.
