Fadeaway World

Derrick Rose had a hell of a run this season. He finally looked confident, fast, strong, and aggressive like he once was before injuries completely rigged his promising and exciting NBA career.

Right when we thought he was ready to give up on his dream and abandon the league, the former MVP proved that he still has a lot left on the tank and that he still has what it takes to make an impact on an NBA hardwood.

With him set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, it looks like he’ll have plenty of offers on the table. But, where could he actually sign? Where could he take his career back from the ground? Let’s take a look at the top 5 destinations for Derrick Rose this summer.

5. Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics are most likely to lose Kyrie Irving in the offseason, and whether Terry Rozier will stay with the team or not, is yet to be seen. Obviously, it would make a lot of sense for him to continue his career at the TD Garden.

Regardless of Kyrie’s departure, the Celtics could still have quite a talented core with Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Williams, and Smart. Still, perhaps his Bulls pride will get in the way of his decision to sign with them.

4. Phoenix Suns

If Derrick Rose wants to play, then he needs to sign with the Phoenix Suns. Here, he won’t have the pressure to compete for an NBA Championship, nor the competition for minutes as the team’s starting point guard.

Also, if the Suns land Zion Williamson in this upcoming NBA Draft, they’ll draw a lot of attention and he’ll get a lot of exposure, so maybe a 1-year deal at the desert would be great for him at this point of his career.

3. Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks were, by far, the best team in the Eastern Conference – and the entire league – throughout the entire regular season, so it’s clear that they’re ready to compete at the highest of levels right now.

Rose could pursue his dream to win a Championship and the team won’t need him to do that much with Bledsoe, Brogdon, and Hill also on board, so he’d be fit, fresh and healthy for the playoffs.

2. Golden State Warriors

Who wouldn’t want to play for the Golden State Warriors? Who deserves a Championship more than Derrick Rose? This one’s a match made in heaven, especially if Shaun Livingston retires as expected.

Steve Kerr knows how to handle his players minutes the same way Gregg Popovich does, and with Curry carrying most of the load, he wouldn’t have to play many minutes but would have enough playing time to make a huge impact at the Bay.

Chicago Bulls Almost Passed On Drafting Derrick Rose Because Of His Troubled Brother

NBA Rumors: Derrick Rose Is Open To Return To Chicago

1. Chicago Bulls

Derrick Rose loves Chicago and the Bulls. He was completely heartbroken when the team traded him to the New York Knicks but has claimed that he’s open to bury the hatchet and come back home next season.

The Bulls need an upgrade at the point guard position and they’re not completely sold on Kris Dunn. They’re both kind of similar players (offensively), so he could really benefit from his mentorship, assuming the Bulls don’t trade him.
