That’s exactly what’s happening with Real Madrid’s Isco, as the playmaker was delighted by Zinedine Zidane’s appointment as the team’s boss, but it looks like Florentino Perez is still eager to find him a new home in the summer.
Isco had mightily struggled to find any playing time at all during Santiago Solari’s infamous tenure in charge of the team and considering Zidane was a huge fan of his game, it looked like Isco was bound for a huge role in the team going forward.

However, the team’s directors have let everybody know that they’re intending to move Isco in the summer as they look to gather as much cash as they can to make a huge splash in this upcoming market, according to Spanish outlet AS.
“There are plenty of players we could sell and as they are all talented and they will be sought after by a series of clubs, that’s nothing new, however Isco is a key player for me and one who I like, let’s wait and see what happens”, Zidane claimed earlier in the month (as quoted by As).
However, with the team trying to make a run at players of the likes of Eden Hazard, Christian Eriksen, Sadio Mane, and Paul Pogba, they want to show the Spaniard the door as soon as possible.
The midfielder is currently valued around 60 million and his contract is set to expire in 2022, and Manchester City and Juventus were quite interested in his services earlier in the year when he was struggling under Solari.
Isco hasn’t been as consistent as everybody expected him to be, but that’s mostly due to the fact that he’s been one of the main scapegoats for pretty much every manager Real Madrid has had but Zidane and Carlo Ancelotti.
