Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane are going to make a lot of changes on their Real Madrid looking ahead of next season. With all of the new faces that are bound to jump on board, a lot of guys will also head out the door in the summer.

That’s why Liverpool won’t give up on their pursuit for Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio, a guy Jurgen Klopp has been interested in for quite some long time, but that Los Blancos were reluctant to say last season when he was at his best.

Real Madrid included a huge 700 million release clause for the 23-year-old following a breakout year under Zidane’s tutelage, and his deal is set to expire in 2023. However, Klopp is not going to let that stop the Reds for at least trying to sign him once again.

Asensio has vastly struggled throughout the entire season under both Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari, and his performances were quite disappointing when actually given the chance to prove he was worthy of a bigger role with the team.

He was rumored to force a move out of the team in the summer when they were struggling with Solari and he continued to fall down in the Argentinean’s pecking order. However, Zidane really made the most out of his talents during his first spell at the club and the Spaniard was quickly becoming one of Europe’s most promising wingers in the world, so perhaps he no longer has the desire to leave.

Still, Los Blancos are supposed to sign Eden Hazard in the summer and are also looking to dig deep in the market to find more firepower and strengthen their offense, so maybe he’d be better off elsewhere.

As for Liverpool, Klopp is also allegedly interested in Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech and Leipzig’s Timo Werner as he looks to add another striker to his already terrifying offense.
