A couple of days ago, FC Barcelona was hit with a deadly blow when Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool knocked them out of the UEFA Champions League’s semi-finals, even though the Catalans owned a 3 goal advantage thanks to a first-leg thrashing.

Following that heartbreaking loss, it looks like Ernesto Valverde’s job is in huge jeopardy, even if the team winds up winning both La Liga and Copa Del Rey, as they blew another huge advantage in the most important competition in back-to-back seasons.

Moreover, Lionel Messi is reportedly livid with the team and some of his teammates right now, and, according to the Daily Star, the playmaker has demanded the team to get rid of three of their stars in the summer.

As per the report, Messi has had it with Philippe Coutinho, who has vastly underperformed ever since completing a huge move from Liverpool, and who has failed to live up to expectations and would prefer going back to the English Premier League.

Also, the Argentinean demanded Barcelona to find a new home for Ivan Rakitic, who’s fallen down in Valverde’s pecking order since Arturo Vidal joined the team, and that is reportedly considering making a move to Italian giants Internazionale.

Last but not least, Messi demanded Bartomeu to get rid of Samuel Umtiti in the summer as well, with the Frenchman also wanting to get out of Camp Nou as soon as possible with Clement Lenglet outplaying him for the starting center-back spot.

The Blaugrana are set to go through a major roster overhaul as they look to finally take a step forward and dominate in Europe the same way they’ve done it on their own turf, and they’ll need to spend a lot of money in order to please their superstar, even after securing the signing of Frenkie de Jong earlier in the season.
