After years of obsessing over the Warriors, the Rockets were just bested by them again. This latest elimination hits especially hard for Houston considering the fall of Kevin Durant and the failure to capitalize on key plays down the stretch that might have tipped the outcome in their favor.
For a team trapped in expensive player contracts and an aging core, where do they go from here?
They have a lot of work to do this summer, much of which involves going over the luxury tax to add more depth. But for James Harden, it also involves working on beating the Warriors next year — a strategy he claims to have finally figured out.
“I know what we need to do. I know exactly what we need to do,” Harden said to the media after the loss. “We’ll figure it out this summer.”

The Rockets attempts to overthrow Golden State has always involved trying to out-shoot them. They would go at Steph and Klay on offense to wear them out.
Clearly, they will have to adapt their approach, and Harden is apparently prepared to do just that. We will see how that works out for them.
