Ever since completing a record-breaking move away from Liverpool to Barcelona, it looks like Karma has knocked on Philippe Coutinho’s door, as the Brazilian has failed to live up to expectations after forcing Jurgen Klopp’s hand to let him go.
The playmaker has faced a lot of criticism in Spain for his subpar performances, and, while Ernesto Valverde was reluctant to give up on him towards the end of the season, it’s pretty clear that he’s never going to be the difference-maker he once was at Camp Nou.
That’s why the Catalans are trying to get rid of him as soon as possible, even while they’re aware of the fact that they’re going to lose a lot of money if they let go of him right now.
Moreover, according to Goal, the forward could be on Chelsea’s agenda for this summer, especially considering Eden Hazard is more than likely to leave in this upcoming transfer window to complete a dream move to Real Madrid.

The British were served with a two-window transfer ban, but the process is believed to be delayed until, at least, the end of this summer’s transfer window, so the Blues could make a couple of signings a couple of months from now to brace themselves for the future.
Coutinho completely dominated in the English Premier League and became one of the world’s most determinant playmakers, but playing next to Lio Messi and Luis Suarez has really taken a toll on his ability to dictate the pace and create for others.
That’s why a return to the EPL may be exactly what he needs to go back to his former self, with him well aware of the fact that he might as well lose his starting spot in Brazil’s national team unless he gets it together once and for all.
