It looks like Chelsea have finally made up their minds regarding Eden Hazard’s future, with the Belgian’s deal set to expire in 2020 and Real Madrid trying to lure him out of Stamford Bridge.
Hazard has been Chelsea’s best player since completing a shocking move from the Ligue 1, but it looks like he’s already done with London and would much rather take a step forward on his career by joining Europe’s winningest team.
So, according to The Daily Mail, the Blues have already reached an agreement with Hazard over his future and won’t continue to step on his way out of the club, as they need to gather as much money as they can to balance their books.
Chelsea is one of the world’s wealthiest clubs nowadays, but they’ve also completed a bunch load of big-money signings that haven’t exactly paid off lately, and with Christian Pulisic set to complete a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer, Hazard may be more expendable now than he’s ever been for them.

Moreover, even though they’re currently facing the threat of a transfer ban, letting go of him over the next couple of years could have terrible repercussions on their Financial Fair Play figures.
Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane are more than willing to meet Chelsea’s asking price for the talented forward, who’s coming off arguably the best season of his career and looks poised to be the star the team has been craving since Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.
So, even if that may hurt most of Chelsea’s supporters, Hazard’s tenure with the Blues is bound to come to an end a couple of months from now, but, at least, he’ll have the chance to win yet another trophy with the team as they face Arsenal for the UEFA Europa League Final next week.
