The summer transfer window couldn’t have a better start for Spanish giants Real Madrid, who got themselves one of the most prominent players in European football right now. The club was and is still expected to sign big players this offseason and they already started to work on that, finishing their first transfer of the summer.
Los Blancos have confirmed the signing of 21-year-old striker Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt for an undisclosed fee, although some reports indicate the initial amount is around €65-€70 million. The Serbian striker had been linked with a move to Madrid for several months now and in recent days it was reported that the White House was set to meet Frankfurt’s asking price of €70 million.
They confirmed the news on their official website, welcoming Jovic, who will compete with Karim Benzema to be the starting center-forward of the team.

Jovic is expected to sign a six-year deal with the Spanish giants. with Frankfurt confirming on their website that his transfer fee will remain undisclosed. Nevertheless, as we stated, Los Blancos paid around €70 million to steal Jovic from both Barcelona and Bayern Munich’s hands. Madrid just got one of the most exciting players for the future; if they started the summer with this huge transfer, next season starts to look very promising for the Spanish giants.
