Fadeaway World

The New Orleans Pelicans have just put themselves in a prime position to become one of the strongest teams in the NBA for years to come, as they managed to beat the odds and win the Draft lottery.

That being said, they’re a lock to use that 1st overall pick to get Zion Williamson, the league’s next superstar and the consensus best prospect in the world, and that makes Anthony Davis more expendable than ever.

Obviously, they can now choose the trade package that better suit their needs and vision for the future, as they’re no longer in a rush to move their All-Star player like they could’ve been if they landed the 8th pick as projected.

But, how could this team take a step forward in the wild Western Conference? It takes way more than just one great player to succeed in the league, and they don’t want to find themselves in the same position they’ve been with Chris Paul and Anthony Davis with Zion Williamson three years from now.

So, David Griffin and Alvin Gentry need to be extremely careful with the moves they make from now on, and they’ll definitely have plenty of offers on their table. To our eyes, they should ignore all of them but one, the Los Angeles Lakers trade package.

Rob Pelinka and the Lakers could put together an incredibly strong package for the All-Star power forward consisting of Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, and the 4th overall pick.

This offer would be far superior to the one the Boston Celtics could offer them, which would consist of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, and the 14th overall pick, as they would have a couple of top-5 prospects and wouldn’t have a logjam at the wings.

Offer from the Lakers is the best offer that Pelicans can get right now. Per report, Pelicans staffers loved Lakers first offer for Anthony Davis.

They would really have amazing young starting lineup with Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson. Plus, they would have the 4th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Don’t look now, but we might be on the verge of witnessing the newest, strongest NBA dynasty the league has seen in a very long time.
