One of the quieter storylines of the summer involves the future of Nets star guard D’Angelo Russell, who is due to become a restricted free agent this summer. And while Brooklyn would love to come to terms on a deal, there is no guarantee they will keep him around — especially if Kyrie Irving signs.
One possible option for Russell is the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are apparently looking to pair him with Karl-Anthony Towns. Russell recently liked an Instagram post regarding the possibility of teaming up with KAT, hinting that he may open to such a partnership.
DLo & KAT duo? 👀

There is clearly a connection between the two, despite being on opposite ends of the country. So what is the likelihood they end up in Minnesota together?
Russell and Towns would form a great inside-out tandem. It might just be enough to get them in the playoffs.
Then again, they will not be the only team pursuing him. The Clippers, Knicks, Suns, and Magic are going to be ready with offers of their own. Expect it to be a very busy summer for 2019 All-Star, D’Angelo Russell.
