Well after a hard-fought season and many risks along the way, the Raptors have finally captured what has alluded them for over 20 years: a Championship.
Toronto beat the Warriors in Game 6, 114-110, at Oracle Arena to end a dominant run for the Warriors, who had been struggling with defensive lapses and injuries to their key players all season long.
Nevertheless, the reactions were pouring in from around the world.

Someone, please tell me why again Kawhi is supposedly leaving Toronto?
That would be one of the dumbest decisions in the history of sports.

Kahwi took home Finals MVP and became just one of three players to win Championships in two separate franchises. His status with the Raptors is unclear this summer, but their success only validates their risky move to trade for him.
As for the Warriors, they will focus on getting healthy. Kevin Durant, Kevon Looney, and most recently Klay Thompson were taken out of the series with injuries. Although there is no telling who might return to their roster next year, you can expect them to be hanging around the top of the standings for seasons to come.
In the end, it was a Finals series that lived up to the hype in every way. Although an unfortunate bout of injuries struck at the worst time, the Raptors deserve credit for taking care of business against the 3x Champions. This is one victory they will be celebrating for a while.
