Manchester United midfielder, and probably biggest star, Paul Pogba, has told the club he wants to leave this summer and his next destination may be in Spain. Pogba wants to join Real Madrid this summer and everything indicates the France international is also willing to snub interest from his former club Juventus.
Pogba, 26, has been involved in plenty of rumors in the last months, and a move to the Spanish capital started to look more plausible ever since Zinedine Zidane was re-appointed as Real Madrid manager earlier this year.
Madrid chairman Florentino Pérez has already backed Zidane in his €303-million rebuild in the first few weeks of the summer transfer window, but the Frenchman is still keen to bring Pogba to the club to get the final piece he needs to complete one of the most dangerous teams the football world is going to see in quite some time.
Marca claimed earlier this week that the club was leaning on Pogba to force his exit from United, hoping that it would ease eventual negotiations ahead of the new season. Plus, Marca have been keeping tabs on this story, claiming that Pogba has stated that he ‘wants to leave’ and follow Eden Hazard to Real Madrid this summer.
Still, this couldn’t be the end of this story as Juventus are still on the hunt to sign Pogba. The club’s sporting director Fabio Paratici reportedly held talks with Manchester United’s directives in London, following claims that the Red Devils were trying to sell Pogba to Juventus instead of favoring a move to Real Madrid.
On the bright side for any potential suitor for the World Cup winner, Manchester United appear set to let the midfielder go. Though, they won’t let him go if they don’t receive big money in return.
