With Real Madrid reportedly interested in Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen, the Danish playmaker let everybody know in the club that he’s looking for a move out of the club in the summer following yet another empty-handed season.

Eriksen was allegedly one of Real Madrid’s top targets for the summer, but since they completed the signings of Eder Militao, Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Rodrygo, and Ferland Mendy, it now looks as if their interest in the Danish has cooled off, at least for the time being.

However, The Mirror claim Eriksen is bound to make a move out of North London either way, even if his dream move to Santiago Bernabeu is deemed to fall apart rather sooner than later.

As per the report, Erisken would instead turn his attention towards Manchester United, a club that’s also been closely following his footsteps for quite some time.

The Red Devils are poised to strengthen their ranks in the summer and if Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba end up leaving the team as expected, they might as well use Eriksen’s playmaking up front en route to another shot at contention.

Ironically, Tottenham have been way more competitive lately than Manchester United, but Eriksen seems reluctant to work out on a new deal that could keep him under Mauricio Pochettino’s command for the long run.

As for Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez promise to continue to be extremely aggressive in this upcoming transfer window, with Paul Pogba, Neymar, and Sadio Mane as possible targets for Los Blancos.

Therefore, expect Real Madrid to continue to move away several players in order to cash out and gather as much money as they can in their pursuit for top-tier talents to go back to ruling the continent as they did during Zizou’s first tenure in charge of the team.
