With Anthony Davis in hand, the Lakers are entering free-agency with a number of needs. One of which is a starting point guard, to which they have absolutely nobody right now.

With around $23 million left in cap room (maybe more), they certainly have enough to fill out the rest of the roster.

One possible target could be Darren Collison. Having averaged 11.2 points per game to go along with 6.0 assists and 3.1 rebounds for the 2018-19 season, he would be an ideal fit with Frank Vogel and the stars in L.A.

Of course, the team’s number one priority of finding a third star — whether Kyrie or Kawhi Leonard. But as their chances continue to dwindle in that regard, it seems likely they will just fill out their roster with veterans and shooters instead.

Considering their lack of depth at the moment, they might actually be better off.

Either way, expect Rob Pelinka and the Lakers to be very active come June 30th.
