One of the best players that Arsenal had during last season, Alexandre Lacazette, is reportedly trying to find ways to leave the Gunners this summer and go play overseas, with Spain being his rumored next destination.
Lacazette arrived in Arsenal back in 2017 after exceeding in Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais, and now his future could be somewhere else. Throughout two seasons at Emirates Stadium, Alexandre has scored 36 goals in 88 matches, becoming one of the most exciting players to see in the Premier League.
Albeit his numbers haven’t been as outstanding as Arsenal teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Lacazette is still managing to turn some heads to him, and, according to journalist Manu Lonjon, he met with a Spanish club to discuss a potential transfer.

It’s unknown which club was it, but some could say it is Barcelona, as the Blaugrana showed their interest in the Frenchman during the summer transfer window, but those rumors have vanished in the last couple of days. Now, Real Madrid is unlikely to be meeting with strikers at this point since they already secured Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt at the beginning of the open market.
So, which club that could be? Atletico Madrid is certainly keen to land Joao Felix and they don’t seem to be looking for a new striker other than the Portuguese. It could be Sevilla, but some would think that is a downgrade for the French attacker knowing how important is Arsenal and all the history they have.
If it is Valencia, why Lacazette would meet with them? What do they have to offer? Well, we only have to wait and see if the things Lonjon said were true or we got caught up with rumors without any solid base. Still, if a Spanish team pulls off this move, that would take their level to the next stage, Lacazette is one of the most talented and unbalancing players in Europe and any side would be lucky to have him on the roster.
