The entire basketball world has its eyes set on Kawhi Leonard as the two-time Finals MVP has a massive career decision to make during this off-season. Leonard has the choice to stay in Toronto and look to achieve back to back championships or to move back home to play with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Everyone has their own opinion on where Kawhi will end up playing next season, including ESPN’s Jaylen Rose, who has correctly predicted a lot of NBA trades and news in recent history. Rose spoke this week on the program ‘Get Up’ where he shared his opinion on the matter, stating that Kawhi will stay in Toronto.
“I say Toronto, I say when the dust settles, he’s going to flirt a little with the Lakers, going to allow to Clippers to flirt with him, he’s going to go right back to Toronto, a whole nation behind him, a training staff that will allow him to create low management and win a championship, he’s the guy who’s on-brand with breaking the dynasties, the super teams, not joining him.” Said Rose on ESPN’s Get Up.
Many will be hoping that his predictions are correct if not, the Lakers will have one hell of a super team with Anthony Davis already deciding to team up with LeBron James in L.A in the recent weeks.
Rose also gave his early predictions for the NBA 2020 Finals with the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers to meet up in the Finals.
“I’m going Philly in the East and I think they overcome the Bucks. In the West, I’m going with the Lakers, they already have LeBron, they already have AD and if, if, if, they get Kawhi, we’ve never seen three of the top five players at the same time playing for the same team,” says Rose.
There’s certainly a lot to look forward to over this offseason with Kawhi Leonard’s big decision as to the major talking point.
