We entered the second month of the summer transfer window and teams are still trying to land their desired pieces. One of those is Real Madrid, who are still looking for a midfielder this offseason and they won’t back down on their desire to sign Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, no matter what it takes.

Los Blancos are still trying to sign the French midfielder this summer and have been tipped to include outcast Gareth Bale in a new proposal to try and make it happen. Bale is not thought to be part of Zinedine Zidane’s plans next season, and sending the Welsh winger to Old Trafford to facilitate Pogba going the other way would potentially solve two big issues for Los Blancos.

According to Marca, Madrid are ‘eager to include’ Bale in a potential deal to land Pogba, who is described as the club’s ‘primary transfer target’ following after they secured the likes of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao and Rodrygo Goes.

The report claims that agent Mino Raiola has already ‘twice’ traveled to Manchester to make clear Pogba’s wish to leave the club, but United officials refuse to listen.

It looks like Gareth Bale would receive some sort of incentive to leave the club, but that won’t solve Madrid’s problem so easily. A report from AS claims that Bale will refuse any offer from the club, insisting on running down the three years of his contract at Madrid despite being told by Zidane that he isn’t part of his plans.

Sources from within the club revealed:

“Gareth believes that if he hasn’t given everything that was expected of him, it has been because he hasn’t had luck with injuries. But he feels that this spell has passed.

“He is optimistic that he is now under the right conditions to succeed,” they said.

“On paper, Bale is the best we have. But another thing is what he has shown so far.

“If the player is determined to stay, he will start at a disadvantage with Zidane, but there is no doubt that he will have time to change the coach’s opinion if his performance is good.”

United tried to sign Bale in the past but now is unclear if the Red Devils see with good eyes the arrival of the Welshman. He’s soon to be 30 and United have been linking with younger players this summer.
