Paul Pogba is once again drawing a lot of hate from the media and Manchester United’s supporters just because of his desire to leave Old Trafford in the summer.
The 26-year-old has been the team’s scapegoat since he made his return from Juventus a couple of seasons ago, and things are getting out of hand right now with the latest claims about his so-called lack of commitment.
That’s why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United’s boss, went on to defend the Frenchman and even claimed the media has an agenda against him:
“It looks like there’s an agenda against Paul. He’s a top, top bloke. He’s a great professional. He’s never been any problems. He’s got a heart of gold. For example, yesterday, Jesse and Paul were walking around and it’s been portrayed as a fight between the two boys. But there’s nothing, no problems between the two boys at all. Paul’s never put himself out of the team, he’s always wanted to play, he’s always given his best. Agents talk all the time. As I said we’ve not had any bids from any clubs, that’s all I can say about this matter,” Solskjaer told the media, as reported by the BBC.
Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola also defended his client by claiming he had done nothing wrong and that he had let the team’s officials know about his desire to be sold in the summer, yet the media and fans continue to bash him on social media.
The World Cup winner has been linked with a move back to Juventus but Adrien Rabiot’s signing may put an end to their pursuit for his services.
Also, Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane are following the situation in order to make a run at him before the transfer window closes, but we’ll have to wait and see how this drama pans out.
