Megan Rapinoe just can’t get enough of the taste of victory, as she continues to take a stand for her beliefs after leading the USWNT to their 4th World Cup trophy a couple of days ago.

Fresh off the plane, the skipper made sure to let everybody know that she’s not to back down from his previous comments regarding the Donald Trump administration.

Trump challenged Rapinoe to “win before talking about ditching the White House invitation”, and now that she delivered, she went right back at the American president:

“Your message is excluding people. You’re excluding me, you’re excluding people that look like me, you’re excluding people of color, you’re excluding Americans that maybe support you. You’re harking back to an era that was not great for everyone (…) it might have been great for a few people, and maybe America is great for a few people right now, but it’s not great for enough Americans in this world,” Rapinoe claimed during an interview.

Moreover, the forward was critic about Trump’s current politics and even went on record to state that all of her USWNT shared her believes on that matter:

“You have an incredible responsibility as the chief of this country to take care of every single person, and you need to do better for everyone. I would not go, and every team-mate that I’ve talked to explicitly about it would not go. I don’t think anyone on the team has any interest in lending the platform that we’ve worked so hard to build, and the things that we fight for, and the way that we live our life. I don’t think that we want that to be co-opted or corrupted by this administration,” she concluded.

President Trump has yet to respond to Rapinoe’s latest comments, but we’re sure it’s just a matter of time before we get an update about this situation.
