Manchester United just can’t catch a break right now, as it looks like they’re just not capable of holding onto their superstars with several players eyeing a move out of the team.
Obviously, the one that has been more open about said desire to leave has been Paul Pogba, who claims he’s looking forward to a new challenge away from Old Trafford.
However, according to former Red Devil Bryan Robson, Pogba’s desire to leave has been orchestrated by Mino Raiola, his agent and one of the most controversial people in the soccer industry:
“Players are influenced far too much by their agents instead of making their own decisions. OK, you might want some advice on what you might sign for and when you do move but you are your own person, you can show the path you want to do in your own career. I don’t think many players do that. They are always taking advice from agents. Obviously, agents want players to move on because they make money. Players should have a good look at themselves in the mirror and make what they want to make from their football career,” he told the Evening Standard.
Raiola has been quite loud about Pogba’s determination to leave and has constantly defended him from all of the hate he’s getting from Manchester United’s supporters and the British media.
With Pogba as one of both Juventus and Real Madrid’s top targets for this upcoming transfer window, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was allegedly considering to offer him the team’s captaincy on an attempt to convince him to stay.
However, the 26-year-old looks poised and determined to find his way out of the team in the summer anyway, and it’s just a matter of time before the Red Devils face the fact that they’ll have to let him go.
