This NBA offseason was, perhaps, one of the craziest the league has ever seen. With an unprecedented number of stars switching teams, the league is going to look very different than it did a year ago.
Still, the moves might not be done.
In a trade proposal by Pippen Ain’t Easy, the Pistons could send Blake Griffin to Chicago for a haul of assets involving Otto Porter Jr., Coby White, Cristiano Felicio, and a future first-round pick
“This is an interesting trade framework between the Chicago Bulls and the Pistons since John Paxson and Gar Forman wouldn’t have to give up too much to land Blake Griffin. Small forward Otto Porter Jr., point guard Coby White, and a future first-round does allow the Pistons to start stacking assets. But it also helps match the salary swap. Since a little less than half the NBA it seems swapped teams in free agency this summer, making a trade like this one becomes more challenging.”
With Griffin, the Bulls would have a starting point to build a contender in the East. They could try and develop the talent they have on the roster or trade those pieces for additional stars.
Nevertheless, you can expect the Pistons to consider trading away their star for the right price — whether that involves the Bulls or not.
