Borussia Dortmund’s wonderkid Jadon Sancho put on a show in his side’s 2-0 victory vs. Bayern Munchen, scoring a goal and recording an assist to give Dortmund their first title of the season.

The 19-year-old has been drawing a lot of attention from European giants since he left Manchester City’s academy to join Lucien Favre’s team and it seems like he picked up things right where he left them last year.

Sancho made a mess of Bayern’s defense and even his teammate Alex Witsel claimed his rivals were scared of facing him throughout the entire match.

“Jadon is damned talented. Even Bayern’s defenders are scared when he has the ball. But that’s normal because Jadon just has a lot of quality. He is fast, technically strong and he can score goals as well as put his team-mates in the spotlight. He is really a complete player,” he told Bundesliga.com following the game.

Sancho scored 13 goals to go along with 15 assists last year and was rumored to be on his way out of the team and make a Premier League comeback but the team’s officials were unwilling to let him go

As for Dortmund, they led the race to win the Bundesliga title for most of the past season but a mid-year meltdown eventually costed them.

Now, Witsel thinks the team has moved on from the failure of last season and claims Lucien Favre’s done an outstanding job getting them ready to face this season:

“We work very hard on defending in training because last season we just conceded too many goals. Especially with set-piece situations, we had problems. I think we’ve already improved because we work on it every day. The coach is doing a very good job. We have done well against Bayern. We will do everything to make sure that the title ends up with us in the end,” he concluded.
