We just entered the last month of the summer transfer window in several leagues, and it’s fair to say that things have gotten real. For the English Premier League, the open market will close this Thursday, therefore things are hotter there than in the rest of the competitions.
While the English teams are ready to make last-second signings, the rest of the clubs are weighing their options for the last month of the free market. We still have sagas that need to be solved and others that are getting bigger as the days go by.
The next few days are going to be crazy and now we’ll let you know what can happen in the upcoming hours. Here are the latest soccer transfer rumors.
Paris Saint-Germain Want To Get Rid Of Neymar, But Won’t Sell To Barcelona
Paris Saint-Germain have apparently accepted the fact that Neymar isn’t happy with them and want out of the club. The current Ligue 1 champions are on the same page and have started the search for Neymar’s new team.
Even though one could say this facilitates things for Barcelona, it is exactly the opposite. PSG are willing to let Neymar go to any other team before Barca given the fact that their relationship with the Blaugrana is pretty much non-existent. Yet, SPORT claim that Barcelona are ready to make one more signing before the closure of the transfer window, and many believe that’s going to be Neymar.
Philippe Coutinho Linked With Tottenham Hotspur
Barcelona are definitely not keeping Philippe Coutinho with them and now have started to offer the player to several teams, including four English giants. Manchester United were thought to be interested in the Brazilian, but he said he wouldn’t go there out of respect for Liverpool. The Reds were also linked with Coutinho, but Jurgen Klopp instantly shut down a move for him.
Later on, Arsenal were considered as a good destination for Coutinho, but the Gunners recently signed Nicolas Pepe and don’t plan on taking a huge contract like Coutinho’s. According to TalkSPORT, Tottenham Hotspur have appeared as the last candidate to take Philippe out of Barcelona, on loan, but with the Spurs trying to sign Paulo Dybala, it’s unclear how they would make this other move.
Tottenham Still Keen To Sign Giovani Lo Celso, Might Break Club Transfer Record Again
Christian Eriksen is reportedly the top priority for Manchester United ahead of the closure of the Premier League transfer window, so that means Tottenham would need a replacement for the Dane midfielder. They already landed Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon, but now Giovani Lo Celso has surfaced as another good candidate to take the job at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
According to Marca, Betis and Tottenham are ‘£15 million apart’ from completing a deal for Lo Celso, who has demonstrated he’s ready to play in a bigger club this season. But, while Tottenham’s last offer was worth £50 million, Betis are hoping to get at least £65 million for the Argentine playmaker.
If Eriksen finally leaves North London, the Spurs will have to step up their game and place a bigger bid for Lo Celso.
Bayern Munich Don’t Give Up Hopes On Leroy Sane
Bayern Munich haven’t been the most active team during this summer transfer window, putting all their attention on one player, Manchester City’s Leroy Sane. A lot has been said between these two clubs and so far nothing has happened, Sane is still in Manchester but Bayern remain eager to land the Germany international.
But, there is hope for the German side. According to Kicker, Sane has ‘no intention’ of staying with the Citizens and signing a new contract with them. Moreover, Bayern would go for Leroy and his younger brother, Sidi, who currently plays with Schalke’s youth team.
If the Sane deal doesn’t go through, the Bavarians have identified Real Madrid outcast Gareth Bale as an alternative to the German winger at the Allianz Arena.
Real Madrid Want To Sell Three Players To Raise Funds For Paul Pogba Signing
Zinedine Zidane wants to land Paul Pogba this summer and Real Madrid’s officials have gotten to work to sign the player. Even though they are reportedly close to signing Donny van de Beek from Ajax, that doesn’t change their stance on the French midfielder.
In fact, Marca and SPORT stated that Madrid would be interested in signing both players. With van de Beek almost done, Madrid are ready to focus on Pogba, and AS claim that Los Blancos want to sell Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Mariano Diaz to finance a move for the French star before the UK transfer window closes on Thursday.
Cristiano Ronaldo Gives Green Light For Icardi Transfer
Moise Kean has joined Everton and recent reports suggest that both Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic would leave Juventus in the next few days, leaving Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain as the only strikers on Juve’s roster. But, Higuain is also on his way out of the Allianz Stadium, so CR7 would be completely alone.
After talks collapsed with Manchester United over a possible swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala, Juventus have turned their head to Milan, where Mauro Icardi waits for a team to ‘rescue’ him out of Internazionale. Although CR7 was rooting for the club to land Lukaku this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Portuguese star doesn’t see with bad eyes the potential arrival of Icardi.
