The 2019/20 NBA season schedule has been revealed and fans have started to check the biggest matches of the campaign, comebacks and more. One of the most exciting things to discover is the number of miles that each team around the association is going to travel next season, and it’s fair to say that teams in the West will have a rough campaign.

The first spot on the list, shared by Ed Kupfer, belongs to the Utah Jazz, the team that will travel the most miles in the NBA next season. The Jazz will travel over 50,000 miles in 2019/20:

Last season they lost in the first round of the playoffs against the Houston Rockets, failing to shock the Texans as they did with the Oklahoma City Thunder back in 2018. This summer was very entertaining for the Jazz, who made sure to add very valuable pieces to their roster and now are considered a huge threat for the rest of the Conference.

They landed Mike Conley via trade from the Memphis Grizzlies, before signing Bojan Bogdanovic, Jeff Green, Ed Davis and Emmanuel Mudiay in free agency. Those moves put them in the same group as the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets as the biggest teams in the West.

Although NBA teams travel on luxurious planes, all those trips still have effects on the players’ bodies. It’s hard to predict how those miles are going to affect the Jazz, but that’s something to have in consideration for the upcoming season, especially when the playoffs arrive.

Besides the Jazz, the West features three more teams in the top 5, with Phoenix, Sacramento and Portland, respectively, while Boston claims 5th spot on the list.
