This summer was pretty quiet for Luis Suarez, who was never rumored to be leaving Barcelona. However, in the last couple of days, the Uruguayan has been linked with a move away from the Camp Nou.
Recent reports suggested that Suarez might be sold by Barcelona to raise funds to afford a potential Neymar comeback before Juventus showed their interest in the striker with a swap deal involving Paulo Dybala.
Now, Suarez is been tracked down from the U.S., as David Beckham is reportedly targeting Barcelona forward to be his marquee signing at MLS side Inter Miami. With the club locking up Matias Pellegrini and Julian Carranza, the former Manchester United, Real Madrid star is trying to put the bar even higher and bring Suarez, one of the deadliest strikers in the world in the last couple of years.
Inter Miami have also been linked to Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani and are now interested in bringing in former Liverpool striker Suarez, as Mundo Deportivo reports. Suarez has still two years left on his current contract with Barcelona but doesn’t seem with bad eyes joining Inter Miami in the long term.
As every expansion team, Miami still have a lot of things to do before getting onto the pitch, but they are very ambitious. Even former Manchester United and Everton boss David Moyes claimed that he would consider taking charge of the club earlier this month, according to the Daily Mail.
More stars are finding their way to the Major League Soccer in recent years, so it wouldn’t be crazy to see Suarez doing the same when he feels it’s time to call it quits with Barcelona and finish his career playing in America.
