Just a few weeks after winning the NBA Championship, Kawhi Leonard left the Raptors in the dust for the unknown in Los Angeles. While it’s a bitter-sweet summer for Toronto, most within the franchise are showing grace to Leonard despite leaving them in the dust.
In words by Marc Gasol, you can’t blame the guy for his decision to go home.
“I haven’t talked to him,” Gasol said. “Just a little through group text – that was it. You can’t blame the guy for wanting to go home. You can’t. If you tell me I can go back to Barcelona and make an absurd amount of money and play in the NBA – I understand completely the decision and respect it and wish him the best.”

Toronto is still expected to be competitive this upcoming season. With Pascal Siakam, Kyle Lowry, and Gasol, they will be competing in the postseason for years to come.
Meanwhile, Leonard will be playing for Championships in L.A.
Seems both sides have moved on…
