The Paul Pogba situation at Manchester United gets more complicated by the day, as the player wants to leave and the team’s supporters also want him out, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the team’s officials refuse to let him walk.

Pogba has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and he’s welcomed that move with open arms, yet the Red Devils seem reluctant to lessen their financial expectations for him.

Nonetheless, Franck Sale, the scout that discovered him and Le Havre’s chief recruiter claim he’s going to end up leaving anyway because that’s what he wants to do, especially if he doesn’t like the way he’s being coached.

“If Paul has a coach with a strong personality around him, in time there will be a clash somewhere. When he left for Juventus a few years ago, with Alex Ferguson that was very complicated too. Paul didn’t concede because he has such a strong character. So when he says, ‘I’m leaving’, he’s leaving. If tomorrow he goes to a big club like a Real Madrid, he’ll still have his conflicts, even with Zizou (Zidane),” Sale told Optus Sport.

Moreover, the scout, who happens to know Pogba like a son, claims he’s getting too comfortable at Old Trafford, and that he only thrives when being actually challenged:

“Paul is a man who needs to be challenged. I think he is becoming too comfortable at United. It’s not as demanding for him as it was a few years ago. I think he is ready for a new challenge, that’s obvious. I can see him leaving for another big club searching for this new challenge,” he added.

Pogba has always been the most talented player on the court, but his work ethic has raised several questions over his durability and actual desire to leave. Still, Sale claims he was always a born leader and perhaps that’s the reason why he’s so difficult to deal with at times.

“It was him who led everyone, so I’m not surprised by his strong personality today. You could see that he was already technically skillful. He possessed a strength of character and had a self-assurance that some would call arrogance. He was someone that was sure of his fate, sure of his qualities,” he concluded.
