While the NBA offseason goes on, people around the league try to discover new ways to kill time before the start of the season. We’re 50 days away from the start of the 2019/20 campaign and that looks like an eternity.
One of those trying to chill while the new season arrives is the Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey, who had a little fun on Monday on Twitter. This is pretty normal, as everybody does it, but the craziest part of this is that Morey made fun of the stumbling New York Knicks.
While having a friendly Twitter chat with two NBA reporters about old phones and calculators, the Rockets general manager made a joke about the Knicks.
Knicks calculator has been broken at least since 1998

“Knicks calculator has been broken at least since 1998,” he wrote.
The Knicks have become famous because of the way they have managed themselves in recent years, giving questionable contracts to non-star players, missing chances to land their desired assets and just making bad managerial decisions overall. It looks that’s what Daryl Morey is talking about here.
In comparison to his Rockets, the Knicks has been an awful team in recent years. Houston is set to take their game to the next level after trading for Russell Westbrook last July. They look like a dangerous team in a stacked Western Conference.
Morey became an executive with the Houston franchise in 2007 and has made a bunch of great moves, even winning the 2018 Executive of the Year award. He’s hopeful he can keep the good work with his latest blockbuster trade.
