Friends are always there when you need them, and we saw another proof of that yesterday when Neymar Jr. ‘saved the life’ of his compatriot and former teammate Dani Alves.

Ney had Dani Alves’ back on Friday when the pair warmed up for Brazil’s clash against Colombia in an international friendly.

A giant insect, who looked like an unusually large butterfly, decided to rest itself atop Alves’ head, and Neymar was quick to respond and go rescue the veteran wing-back.

This led to a priceless reaction from the two stars as Neymar managed to flounce it away and avoid Alves suffering an unwanted headache, as they both looked relieved after all that drama was over.

Words don’t make justice to the moment, so here is a video of this hilarious incident:

When he was needed, Ney stepped up and delivered, this time to save his long-time friend Alves with some fans claiming he saved the Sao Paulo star’s life with his actions.

Following his heroic act, the PSG forward also managed to get on the score sheet in his first match since June, in a match that ended in a 2-2 draw between the two South American teams.
