It’s time to continue discovering the best players per position in NBA 2K20. The new installment of the video game was released a couple of days ago and we have yet a lot of things to see. Over the last few days we’ve looked at the best players in each position in this game, and now it’s the turn to check the other half of the frontcourt.
Even though league is not dominated by big men like it used to at some point in its history, having a talented center is still important for the franchises in the association. Today, we’ll let you know who are the best big men in NBA 2K20. Here are the 10 best centers in the new edition of the successful video game.
10. Deandre Ayton – 82
Deandre Ayton is entering his sophomore season in the NBA as one of the most exciting young players in the league right now. The 21-year-old center is ready to take the Phoenix Suns to be a competitive team once again. This guy is a great rebounder, a walking double-double, and a very efficient scorer, averaging an FG% of 58.5. All these characteristics made Ayton earned an 82 overall rating in 2K20, and the 10th position on this list.
9. Jusuf Nurkic – 83
Albeit Jusuf Nurkic is not as famous as other players on this list, the Bosnian player has known how to become one of the best in his position right now. Last season he was set to help the Portland Trail Blazers reach the playoffs, but he suffered a compound fracture of his left tibia and fibula. Regardless, Nurkic is still seen as one of the best big men in the league, and he’s ready to demonstrate that this season. After the good things he’s done with Portland, Nurkic earned an 83 overall rating in 2K20.
8. Clint Capela – 85
Last season was expected to be better for Clint Capela and his Houston Rockets in general, but things were quite different. The chemistry wasn’t there last campaign, which took everybody in the Rockets, except James Harden, to decrease their level. If that didn’t happen, we probably could be seeing the Swiss player in a higher position on this top. Still, Capela is ready to improve his game this season, and his rating in 2K20, which currently sits on 85.
7. Al Horford – 85
After spending the last three seasons with the Boston Celtics, Al Horford decided it was time to call it quits with the C’s, signing with the Philadelphia 76ers following a tumultuous season at the TD Garden. Horford is not the most outspoken player of all, but that didn’t prevent him from signing a huge contract with the Sixers last July. After all the good things he did with the stumbling Celtics, the Dominican player has received an 85 overall rating in the video game.
6. Nikola Vucevic – 86
Nikola Vucevic has been one of the best rebounders in the association for quite some time now. The Orlando Magic big man is a walking double-double and one of the most consistent centers in the NBA. Albeit his team is not the best, Vucevic has remained as a star in the league. This year he was given an 86 overall rating in 2K20.
5. Andre Drummond – 86
The Detroit Pistons have a great frontcourt with Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin, one of the best power forwards in 2K20, curiously. This time we have to talk about Drummond, a player who was expected to be bigger than he is right now, but is still a great competitor and one of the best rebounders in the league without any hesitation. Drummond got an 86 overall rating from the 2K team.
4. Rudy Gobert – 88
We’re pretty sure Rudy Gobert will end the season in a higher spot on this list. The French big man has been a huge part of the Utah Jazz’s success in recent years, and this season he’s set to take the team to play for the NBA title. He’s already showing what he’s planning to do next campaign with his performance against Team USA in the FIBA World Cup. Gobert has earned an 88 overall rating, which will be higher as the season goes on.
3. Karl-Anthony Towns – 89
Albeit people start to believe that Karl-Anthony Towns is not living up to the expectations, the Dominican big man is confident that he can take the Minnesota Timberwolves to be contenders in the near future. Well, this season is not expected to be a big one for the T-Wolves, but KAT remains as one of the best big men in the league, receiving an 89 overall rating.
2. Nikola Jokic – 90
The Joker has improved his level season after season and the last one he proved that he can be a star in the league. Nikola Jokic is set to lead the Denver Nuggets to be contenders next season alongside Jamal Murray. The Serbian center will be one of the biggest names in the upcoming NBA term, and people in charge of 2K knows that, giving him a 90 overall rating in the new installment of the video game.
1. Joel Embiid – 91
This one is not a surprise. Joel Embiid has improved his level ever since he made his debut with the Philadelphia 76ers. The Process is ready to finally transcend in the East and take the Sixers to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2001. This is a guy who can defend, is good at the rim and actually can make 3-pointers, so it’s not crazy to see that he has a 91 overall rating in NBA 2K20, which places him as the best center in the video game.
