Liverpool overcame a bad result to defeat Newcastle, reaching an impressive milestone in the process. The Reds came from behind to secure a 3-1 win over Newcastle on Saturday.
Jetro Willems gave the lead to the visitors, but that wasn’t enough for the Magpies, who succumbed to Liverpool and their formidable attack. A pair of goals by Sadio Mane and a brilliant score from Mohamed Salah via Roberto Firmino sealed the three points for the Merseysiders.
They’ve now won their first five games of the Premier League campaign, drifting away from Manchester City.
But, that’s not the end for Jurgen Klopp and his pupils. They just became the first team to win 14 consecutive games and score two or more goals in each of those victories. This is impressive for the Premier League giants, who surely hope this good moment doesn’t stop any time soon and take them to win the longed-for Premier League title once and for all.

Klopp’s side has some things to figure given the struggles they faced during the game, but now the focus is on a different target.
After this historic game, Liverpool are set to start defending their Champions League title, when they face Napoli next week.
