As one of the NBA’s best perimeter defenders, Patrick Beverley has had countless battles throughout his career. For a guy like Beverley, who doesn’t back down to anyone, you ever wonder which stars have given him the biggest challenge?
The Clippers point guard recently answered that question in a sit down with The Players’ Tribune.

Damian Lillard, Kemba Walker, and Russ have been his toughest assignments so far. For Lillard in particular, Beverley shared some strong words.
“He’s cold in the offense they run. Like they don’t run — he got the ball and everything — but everything ain’t for him. Just give him the rock. Put Dame in Golden State. Put Dame in a Houston Rockets type offense. No disrespect to their coach or their system or anything, but I mean, I think people are only getting a little bit of a taste out of Dame.”
All three players play with speed and passion, and all have a bit of a history with Pat. It’s also interesting to see which stars were not named. Notably, Steph Curry and Kyrie Irving are missing from the list.
You can take that to mean whatever you want…
