We are several months away from the next summer transfer window, but we’re already seeing what we could see when the time comes. This past window was quite entertaining and the summer of 2020 is looking very promising for fans and clubs, as well.

One of the biggest sagas in 2020 could feature Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz, who has been absolutely great for the German side. Havertz has drawn a lot of attention from some of the best clubs in Europe, who are ready to go at it to get his signature next offseason. According to Mundo Deportivo, the last two clubs to join the list of suitors for the talented midfielder are Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Kai is currently attached to Bayer through June 2020 with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal also circling around him for his signature, which is valued at no less than £88 million.

Madrid are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old, as they plan to add some youth to their midfield. Zinedine Zidane has been pleased with the progress that Federico Valverde has made at the Bernabeu but players like Luka Modric and Toni Kroos aren’t getting any younger, which has prompted Los Blancos to look for alternatives.

Nevertheless, they have been linked with Christian Eriksen, too, and given the current situation of the Dane player in Tottenham, Madrid could pay cut-price of €25 million to take the 27-year-old to the Santiago Bernabeu, considerably cheaper than Havertz.

As for Barcelona, they have been tracking Havertz for several months and actually inquired about his price tag in the summer, with the German club requesting £70 million for their asset. Havertz could serve as Ivan Rakitic’s replacement in Barcelona, as the Croatian has fallen out of favor to Frenkie de Jong at the Camp Nou.
