Zion Williamson is expected to make a huge impact in the NBA not only as a player, but as a brand, as a business, and people have already started to identify him as one of the biggest names in the league even though he hasn’t played his first official game in the association.

However, that doesn’t seem to be a problem or an obstacle for the rookie sensation, who has already placed himself as one of the most important brands in the league, according to some experts. Kurt Badenhausen of Forbes magazine joined ESPN’s ‘Outside the Lines’ to discuss the impact of Williamson in the game, as he believes the 19-year-old is already a global star.

“I think Zion is a top 5 brand right now,” Badenhausen said. “You look at the big three, you got KD, LeBron, they’re probably all head and shoulders above Zion right now because they’ve been proven winners and they’ve been all around for a decade and then you’ve got James Harden, maybe. I think NBA guys if you stack them up, you gotta go by their shoe deals. I think that’s a good way to establish a pecking order. You’ve got KD, LeBron, Curry all making more than 20 million a year, and then Harden around 14 and then right behind them is Zion.”

Even though he plays in a small market like New Orleans, that doesn’t seem to be a problem for Zion. This guy is already a sensation and that will only get bigger if he keeps playing the same way he’s done during the first games of the preseason.

He’s said to be a generational talent and you can confirm that with the effect he’s had around the league.
