This past summer Barcelona tried to offload several players, but some of them stayed in the club while others left the on loan. Philippe Coutinho was one of those, who left for Bayern Munich trying to recover his best form.
Coutinho has exceeded in Munich so far and Bayern have started to consider signing him permanently next summer, with Barcelona reportedly willing to sit down and negotiate the permanent transfer of Coutinho to the Bavarians.
According to AS, Coutinho is planning to stay where he is, despite impressing on loan and perhaps looking like a player worth recalling for his parent club, but that’s unlikely to happen right now. He was unable to have a good tenure with Barcelona and the club is ready to let him go on a permanent move to Germany.
AS claim Bayern have the option to make Coutinho’s transfer permanent for €120 million, and the clubs could now be set for talks over such a deal. This may help both parties to fix their problems, as Coutinho has played really good with the German side, coming back to his best this season.
Moreover, AS add that Liverpool could be lining up a move for the Magician, too, as Jurgen Klopp has revealed his desire to reunite with the Brazil international given how good he did during his time at Anfield.
Barcelona look set to part ways with the 27-year-old at the end of the season and both Liverpool and Bayern could take advantage of this situation. However, it looks like the Germans have the upper hand on this saga.
