As one of LeBron’s biggest supporters, it’s rare for Fox Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe to speak out against Bron on anything. But when it comes to the NBA’s crisis with China, and LeBron’s comments on the ordeal, Sharpe was quick to call out his favorite player.
“If you’re uninformed and uneducated, how do you call someone else uninformed and uneducated? You need to be informed and educated in order to call someone that.”
If you remember, LeBron said he wasn’t going to comment on the issue at hand because he “wasn’t informed and wasn’t educated” just moments before laying into Morey for his initial tweet.
“I don’t want to get into a word or sentence feud with Daryl Morey but I believe he wasn’t educated on the situation at hand, and he spoke. And, so many people could have been harmed, not only financially but physically, emotionally, spiritually. So, just be careful what we tweet and what we say, and what we do. Even though yes, we do have freedom of speech, but there can be a lot of negative that comes with that too.”
Sharpe’s point is that if LeBron himself feels like he isn’t educated enough on the topic, why is he calling out Morey?
Sharpe’s criticism isn’t the only one LeBron is receiving for his comments. All around the world, folks are expressing their frustrations with the King, for what they feel like is a bow to China and their oppressive communistic society.
Maybe he should have stayed quiet.
